Argentina players have brain damage. They only know how to look for Messi.

Barca doesn't play MUCH different.

Messi's teams are too dependant on him.
In the last few years, Messi's magic works ONLY in La Liga against weak opponents and when there is no pressure that you can get knocked out the same day.

In a CL, he is afraid, opponents close us down easily since all you have to do is crowd the middle and put 3-4 players on Messi.
This is not a coincidence anymore.
Any CL team in KO matches is knocking us out easily and we can't score (Chelsea 0:1, Bayern 0:4, Atletico 0:1, Atletico 0:2, Juve 0:3, Roma 0:3).
What happened in every match?
Messi was either:
1. tired
2. in a bad mood
3. mentally weak
4. marked by 3-4 players
5. and the rest of the team didn't have a plan B. Our plan is always: pass the ball to Messi at the edge of a box. When it doesn't work, we will lose 0:3 against anyone.

Imo, Argentina won't get past group stage.
Or, in the best case scenario, they will end 2nd, and face France (right?), and get knocked out by them.

Last three years of bad performance in high pressure matches totally destroyed his confidence and things can only be worst. When he was younger he played without fear.

Now as he has become older he cannot handle pressure.

The games show that , the knockout stages as they progress show that and penalties confirm it.

There is not doubt he struggles under pressure now and nothing can change that unless someones punches him in the nose like Marcelo did.

I truly think he'd end up being the undisputed GOAT. But he hasn't been winning CLs at the rate he should and has choked in too many big moments.

I feel sorry for him. 3 players around him all the time, literally no space to shoot and missing a penalty. Him and WC is a very difficult relationship.

Given the circumstances he had a good game. No one will care though as in the end the missed penalty was decisive.
