lol some of you guys are truly something else. he has put up poor performances in KO games in recent years but the amount of times he has come up big for barca/argentina in CL finals, clasicos, and crucial liga/qualifying games definitely outweighs the number of subpar/poor performances.
you simply don't score 600 some goals and win 30 some trophies if you can't handle pressure.
besides I've only seen maradona and zidane play above their level in WCs when there is immense pressure on them so it's not like it's some common occurence.

Just checked the stats and he ran 8,7kms like a normal player.
Instead of being static like against Iceland and Croatia he actually made runs behind the defenders like Ronaldo and thanks to that he scored a goal.
I've no idea why he runs so little while it's clear his game would improve so much if he moves when not in possession.

It was Thuram who was their best player . Croatia was a litmus test for them and he dragged them out of mess . Paraguay too gave them a torrid time before Blanc scored golden goal . Zidane in wc 2006 >Zidane in wc 98

Yea first half no pressure at all.
I sometimes wonder are you people retarded? They conceded cheap cheap goal when they wanted to stretch the lead. Their entire game plan collapsed and they started to panic, while Nigera sat back and defended with 11 players in their box. They swarmed Messi who had to come back for ball to 30-40m from his goal, while in first half he could actually receive deep passes into box. Its completely different half time because game was turned upside down (plus Iceland scored).

Guy is fucking liability any way you put it. He is putting pressure on everyone and anyone, literally making already nervous team even more so. You could see they are fragile as they really looked good in 1st half, just for him to fuck up and almost ruin them.
