If Messi starts against Tottenham, then we know his priorities are on stats, CL, and individual awards
nice blanket statement you got there.
he hasn't even been confirmed injured.
there's not much other reason for starting that game even if he isn't injured
We may need to start Munir upfront next game with Leo in the #10 role. The false 9 worked really bad today
Do you even know what our next game is? Or are you too busy with BdO at the moment?
If Messi steps onto the pitch during our next game, Valverde should be fired immediately.

The thing is, I don't think the coach is doing him any favors by allowing this or at least not encouraging him to make an effort. The reason why he walks isn't because he's lazy. The man loves nothing more than to play football. The reason, as I see it, is the pressure.
There are these enormous expectations of him to not only perform at a top level, but to consistently produce something magically that no-one else can. Something like that is extremely anxiety inducing. It paralyzes him. It's not a pleasure for him to receive the ball anymore. It's a duty.
What he needs to hear from his manager is that it doesn't matter if how many moments of genius he produces. He has one responsibility and that is to put in the work. I'm convinced that that sort of thinking is the only thing that will set him free.
He's finally reached the end of his tether with this joke of a coach and the shit midfield. The guy is wasting the rest of his career because of the shit he's been left with for club and country. With the exception of 2015 (ruined a bit by the Copa final) his career has just petered out since 2012 with only the one Ballon D'or and he won't win any more without a CL.
Imagine him in Man City team now.
