I think that's why on the field he seems depressed
he can't play at RW anymore, for the good of the team it just doesn't work. you cant have a dead right side for most of the match because Messi drifts centrally leaving Bob/Semedo with nothing ahead of them thus a useless passback ensues. if you put Dembele at RW, he improves the team instantly.. hes on his stronger side, plays like an actual winger and provides support for the RB.
its so simple to just play Messi at false9/ST, get rid of Suarez and give Malcom a chance with Dembele. too bad our manager is a spineless bastard
He's given up on this team. Realises he's wasting what's left of his career with this shite.
It's like everything he's had to put up with at international level but every week now.
He's over 30. He needs players facilitating him like Ronaldo gets instead he has to do more.
agreed, we play so much on the left that our right wing is practically dead. The opponent could focus on one part of the field knowing there's not threat on the right. I even rather play a 4231 with Coutinho, Messi, Dembele as the 3 and Suarez as the 1.
Some good dribbles from Leo, let's hope Leo scores vs. Sevilla
So:
1. he will play 2 Classicos with 120% now
2. and a 2nd game vs Lyon
That probably means that if we reach CL quarters, he will be in a way worse physical state than in the last few years, when he was always dead tired in March.
