He is not surrounded by donkeys and his form in CL is his own fault. He needs to work on his stamina. He needs to start playing withought the ball to be able to win CL. He is indisputable GOAT but he needs to be used properly like in the first season under Lucho. Not every ball needs to go trough Messi and he can't drift to the middle evers fucking time. In this way he becomes to oredictable and all other players like Demebele or Coutinho become irrelevant and limited. He needs to realize that this is team sport and he can't win on his own.
I told that story in the past: two of my friends who are not Barca's fans commented on our teamplay last season against Roma, and basically, they were predicting our every move and were laughing, like:
Busi has the ball, he will pass to Messi now.
Messi will now pass to Alba.
A next action: we have the ball: now we will wait until Messi gets the ball in the middle at the edge of a box and then he will be surrounded by 3, he will try to dribble and lose the ball.
Basically, any football viewer knows how will our next action look like.
And then, teams like Getafe and Levante can't stop these actions since they suck and then we are living in a delusion how we are actually good and strong.
Btw, these are our all away matches since our 2015' CL title:
Lyon 0:0
Roma 3:0
Chelsea 1:1
Juve 3:0
Psg 4:0
Atletico 2:0
Arsenal 0:2
We scored on 2 matches out of 7.
And, in the last 6 matches (540 minutes of football), we scored only 1 goal on away knockout rounds matches.
And the same shit every season:
1. Messi is dead tired
2. we are passing to Messi all the time
3. he is in the middle, surrounded by 3 and easily neutralized
So, our problems in Europe are way deeper than "stupid" Rakitic and "stupid" Suarez.
I am not saying that those 2 are not guilty though.
But you would expect more than 1 goal in the last 540 minutes from a team led by Messi, right?
Maybe we have really turned into a team who is a killer of smaller teams in La liga, but who is an absolute shit in Europe against big boys?
