Of course, it's deeper because it has to do with the head coach first and foremost.
Board, its their yes-man and they are the snakes head of the whole Rosell infestested cancer that spread and had the club sold its soul and involved incountkess scandals while making countless mistakes on the sporting side.
Valverde is “just” a symptom. Its all just hidden by the mask of the messi era. Its getting harder and harder to conceal it though.

He deserves anything that is happening to him. He's the one pulling favors for Valverde and Suarez. Have no simpathy if he doesn't win anything on the European stage for his rest of his career.

I don't know what Messi's role was in retaining and renewing Valverde, I'd think without him speaking up in favor of him (did he?) or endorsing him privately the club would have done the same anyway. This is simply the way we handle managers. As long as they do an OK job bringing home titles and trophies, regardless of how well we play or not we just don't sack managers and we keep renewing them until they want out themselves, or we have a disastrous season both sides decide to part ways. I remember reading polls done by Catalan media recently, to our chagrin the majority of the club members and local fans in Barcelona are happy and content with Valverde (WTF??)

With regard to Suarez, no matter how shit he is, we don't have an alternative, do we? I don't believe for a second that Messi was the reason that Suarez is still here.

To be fair, Mandzukic is underrated as feck. Not easy on the eye but makes the difference surprisingly often and does the dirty work extremely well. Also, Juve’s midfield trio are miles better than ours, purely because they can move their legs faster (although Khedira is very slow).

Yeah I rather have Mandzukic than Suarez. Very underrated indeed.

This is very true and something not many fans realize. Messi is vouching for both shitverde and Suarez. Messi does have a strange personality, seems like he values comfort more than winning

You nailed it.

Messi made his decision regarding his overrated and over the hill friend Suarez.

He will have to live with the consequences of his Suárez dicksucking and also backing the useless Valverde.

No sympathies. And if he gets to watch Ronaldo win a record 6(!) Golden Ball he deserves it for not demanding excellence as a captain. Suárez is not fucking excellence Messi! Get it through your thick skull.

People keep repeating it but there's no indication that Messi demands that Suarez always plays, i think thats bullshit.

In the past Messi was really close with Cesc and Pinto and they left and there was no fuss.

At this stage of his career, would you really be surprised by that? Never struck me as the type that would want to play it out till he's 40 getting after it in the gym and staying in insane shape + making all the right executive tip-offs that will make the club prosper.

He was really close with Pinto but he was never as close with Cesc.

I also kinda feel he has something to say in Suarez playing as much as he does and not getting subbed out when he's shit.

Messi doesn't pick the team nor the coach, get it through your thick skull.

You can't be that daft to believe that.

Messi is best friends with Suárez and clearly endorses him. Messi has immense influence in Barca, and he uses that both on a off the field.

How naive you are.

Who the fuck cares if Ronaldo has one more BD than Messi does? People need to stop getting so obsessed and fixated with the BD count and the so-called GOAT status (which will forever be disputed no matter how many BDs Messi and Ronaldo each has). To many Pele and Maradona will forever be ahead of these two.

At the end of day it is what trophies and how many of them we (Barca) win that matters.

Juve's midfield is miles worse than us. Arthur is much better than Matuidi, Rakitic much better than Khediera, and Busquets just as good as Pjanic in the pivot role

I doubt it. If let's say Valverde benched the likes of Rakitic , Pique , Busi when they were in a horrible form (or just horrible) but somehow kept playing Suarez. Then you could say that Messi is forcing the manager to play Suarez. But in this case it's just that Valverde is a coward and a little weasel that just let's all the senior players who were there after he arrived do as they please.

Messi was nowhere near as close to Cesc and Pinto as he is to Suarez now. Sure they went to dinners together and the wives were close but the Messi/Suarez bromance is another level. Also the coaches during that time were Pep and Tito who wouldn’t take shit from underperforming players. Coach now is EV whose #1 priority is to keep the old guard happy

Suarez actually lives in the house Cesc lived in. Right next to Messi's. I think Messi and Cesc are probably a lot closer considering they always seem to travel together and have known each other for almost a couple of decades now, but who knows really.

What I know is that Suarez is fucking shit now. Finished.
