mbappe most likely won't dominate for a decade. Messi and CR7 are anomalies. We've never seen two players play at ballon d'or top 1-2 level for 10+ years in succession. If we're binning senior players, suarez, pique, and then busquets should be ahead of Messi. Their lethargic pace of late in CL games isn't counterbalanced by supernatural talent.

Mbappe also is a player who thrives in space. Unless we're doing a systematic overhaul, he won't be as effective.

Messi isn't the problem, Suarez and that joke of a coach are bigger ones.

Messi becomes a problem by having Suarez's back. When it comes to the CL all those Messi stats are worthless, as we face a well organised team and go out. Messi's career here will end with a whimper.

Pique, Busquets and Suarez I agree but we know what'll happen. These players are slow and older and will all play until they drop here and leave for nothing in 2-4 years. Added to Messi and that's 4 starters to replace at once with no transfer fee.

Only Mbappe looks somewhat fit to lace his boots and that's in the future, not right now. Both commercially and from a quality standpoint. However, PSG will tell us to fuck off, we will have competition for his signing from other rich clubs or hear me out, Mbappe could prefer to sign with another team. Crazy, I know!

Messi is not himself, Suarez poor , Rakitic and Roberto poor , Pique and Umtiti poor .
