Hypothetically would you trade with PSG Messi and Suarez for Mbappe and Cavani?

Bearing in mind Messi and Suarez are both over 30 with two seasons left on contract after this one, Suarez is finished and we won't do anything in CL with him up front and stuck with Valverde. The rest of Messi's peak years are being wasted here anyway.

The reality is we'll end up having to replace them with no money and therefore unable to get players of the level of Mbappe when the time comes.

I'm not saying yes to this proposal either btw, it'd be too gut wrenching to lose Messi when it came down to it (unlike Neymar) but logically it'd make sense.

I would trade Messi for Mbappe, since one is 31 years old and the other is 19. Messi is still a better player now but Mbappé is already one of the best players in the world and it seems he's the player who will dominate for the next decade.

mbappe most likely won't dominate for a decade. Messi and CR7 are anomalies. We've never seen two players play at ballon d'or top 1-2 level for 10+ years in succession. If we're binning senior players, suarez, pique, and then busquets should be ahead of Messi. Their lethargic pace of late in CL games isn't counterbalanced by supernatural talent.

Mbappe also is a player who thrives in space. Unless we're doing a systematic overhaul, he won't be as effective.
