Of course Messi is not the best fk taker. There are specialists like Calhanoglu or Pirlo and a couple of others (retired players like Juninho too of course) who are way better than him. But calling him bad? Bad are the guys who never take them because they would not score a goal in their life no matter from how many attempts.
Messi scored two in one game a couple of weeks ago, he scored in different Clasicos, he can bend them over the wall, he can fool the gk and surprise them with a shot into their corner, he has hit some from larger distance etc.
If that is bad then there are probably only 5 guys in the world who would be considered good at free kicks.

Neymar should be considered more for free kicks. That's not detrimental to Messi it's just that they should consider mixing it up, considering who is best from which angle or side and range and keep the opposition on their toes

I don't remember anyone claiming he is the best or that there is no one better than him. We're reacting to people calling him "shit" and "bad" at free kicks, which he is not.

How can you possibly call someone else a fanboy And who got offended? People are simply saying that Messi isn't bad at free kicks, instead he is average, which is a reasonable statement to make.

Messi is good at free kicks, just look at some of the pearlers he has scored from. 2 against Madrid spring to mind. He isn't the best however and that's a reasonable assumption to make but certainly in the top 10
