Neymars father wants the tax issues resolved before committing to new contract. He doesnt want Neymar to sign up to play in Spain for next 10 years and for the Spanish Govt to go after them again.

Basically they want to be told issue is finished and this is what will happen going forward but Spanish authorities appear to be treating Barca players differently.

They feel persecuted compared to they way the tax issues of others at Real etc are treated.

They dont want it to damage the 'Neymar brand' going forward which will be worth tens of millions. That seems to be the issue more than trying to force the club into paying fines etc or wanting ridiculously huge wages.

Neymar Snr is a greedy fucker no doubt but I dont read this as them trying to black mail the club like a lot of people are making out. Time will tell.
