Let him leave. We don't need this kind of drama every transfer window. It destabilizes the club. I knew that he would never be contented being the 2nd best behind Messi. After all he said that he's fine being the partner of Messi, I always thought that it wasn't really sincere. He's really hungry for a solo spotlight.

As if this was new. It's the press, they'll always do it. They used to do it with Messi too, every other summer. But now he's 29 and it's getting obvious he won't move, so it's Neymar's turn. People forget easily.

His dad speaks out. Says "Neymar father, "Ney is happy at Barca, and Zero chance he will leave for Real"

But if he wanted to ease the fanbase you don't say.

"he'll "see out his contract"

If he won't renew we will sell him simple as that.

It was never like this with Messi. Not even close. Neymar fuels a lot of it on his own too.

The rumors were there every season, Messi always had to deny them. Even so, there were always times when people would question his commitment as well. After the 2014 wc there was a very similar trend on Messi's thread. "Sell him and rebuild the team".

And what about the meltdowns when Messi followed city on instagram, or the even worse one when he followed chelsea? Neymar himself isn't fueling anything, it's the press and speculations. Like always. The club not being able to have the renewal signed before July 1st also is making this the perfect setup to sell papers.

Ney senior beat you to it.
They are fueling it again with "2 more years left on his contract".

Depends on how you want to see it. That's the contract they have. He actually kind of dissed Wagner Ribeiro, who was still saying for the br press this week how he still hoped Neymar would go to rm. And after reading the whole text, instead of just the headline, I can't find anything there to say he's fueling the speculation. Quite the opposite.

What I hate about this yearly drama is the club is forced to offer big money contract just to make sure that the player won't leave. You're right, Messi always deny it and always gives assurance to the fans and club unlike Neymar who always fuels it. This contract have been offer several months ago and it was announced before that he will definitely sign it when the season ends and now we're back to this drama all over again. If he stays and have another summer transfer window drama again next year, cules will get tired of him and will bash him might even force him to leave.

It is the media that is trying to make a big deal of it and using sensationalizng headlines to sell thier papers. Did you guys already forgot messi to how Chelsea rumors spread like wildfire because of one small incident.

According to MD, Barcelona are getting even more Optimistic that Neymar will renew. it seems with Sanllenhi and Curry being around Ney it has helped a lot.

they also report PSG, is willing to give Neymar a 40 million Sign on bonus+ the already 50 Million euro (Before Taxes) yearly salary.

Messi to Chelsea? That was a joke and no one believed in it. This is different.

The press really isn't what it used to be. At least in the good old days, their rumour mill had a shred of credibility to it; not much mind you, but precisely enough to make the rumour a somewhat relevant subject during the silly season. Operating the football rumour mill is a lost art now it seems.

Now, apparently, the interns are at it, and seem to utilize a random sentence generator: 'Breaking: According to di Marzio/Balague/Our sources, [insert random sheikh owned club] is interested in signing [insert random star player/flavour of the week player] for [insert ridiculous sum]. According to [insert random self-proclaimed expert/former star player/retired coach/our sources), the player is unsettled because of [insert random trivia story from four weeks ago].

This is insane. They can sign a few decent players with this amount of money.

PSG/Qatar money is a poison for European football. Can't believe that UEFA is doing nothing, financial-fair play is an absolute joke.

Nah, money is a posion for football (and sport) in general, not just Qatar money. But it's the world we live in. UEFA/FIFA won't do anything about that because they are all corrupted as well. Nothing new here anyway.

That said, I don't think PSG can afford Neymar even with their rich owners. Yes, rumours won't die until he resigned but with transfer fee, wages and all taxes it's basically a 500M investment which is around 80% of PSG's yearly incomes and around the same % of their current total value (according to Forbes). No club will do that for just one player.
