The trip to brazil will have hopefully done him good a chance to get away and get his batteries recharged just in time for the business end of the season

That's just you speculating on what's going on in the club. Enrique is not a coward. I really don't believe he'd have problems saying no if he thought it mattered. I don't think Neymar has that kind of power, or that he doesn't do as he is told. That's why is all good. I see no problems going on, on or off field here. I also doubt the sport piece is real, Enrique wouldn't let captains decide that.[...]

Flavia was right all along. Kudos!

No problems with Ney going to Brazil on his days off. To me the problem is not so much that but rather why he is allowed to miss training to do it. Fine, if Lucho authorised it and can manage the situation then there is no problem but we shouldn't just be bending to his wishes and letting him do as he pleases. Just so long as he performs on the pitch though then I'm fine with it.

It's not about resting, it's about having Neymar available for Villareal - Madrid games. Pique got a yellow vs Arsenal to sit out the home leg and be card-free in the QF. It's the same thing.

If Suarez was one yellow from suspension chances are he would have gotten booked vs Rayo or Eibar. It's much better to miss an easier game (Rayo, Getafe, Eibar are some of the easiest in La Liga), than to miss difficult games like Villareal away and the clasico.

Doesn't add up. Suarez is on 4 yellow cards, where was his yellow against Eibar?

Suarez received a yellow vs Eibar, that's why he's on 4 now. He was on 3 yellows prior to the game.

I give you Mascherano's example. Got a deliberate 5th yellow vs Eibar to sit the Getafe game out. Just like Neymar did vs Rayo. Or like Pique did vs Arsenal, or Iniesta vs Shakhtar a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure there are other examples as well (of players making sure they miss "the right" game, and not an important one).

Enrique himself confirmed that too, on his presser today.

Just read on Marca that the olympic games would be at the same time as the Supercups.. sucks if true, already cost us not to have him last season ! :/
