"The operation is going to be done, sources of FCBarcelona_es say it will not be today, but it will eventually close between 100 and 120m" (Onda Cero)

"Contrary to what Borussia says, negotiations with Barca are still intense for Dembélé transfer"

His other tweets say our bid was 90+40 and he states Dortmund rejected it because they want more Fixage fee. I'm guessing this deal may not be as far off as one may presume.

They should rinse this board silly. Bartomeu and co are a bunch of clowns. It hurts that it's FC Barcelona in the middle of all this but it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of scumbags. They have made us look bad at every and each turn. After this summer if the socios still support these jokers we fucking deserve everything is happening to us.

I feel like this whole Dembele saga is going to lead to another Neymar fiasco. Part 2 of the PSG chronicles, coming to the Nou Camp in about 4 years time.

It makes no sense whatsoever to buy a player with such bad attitude. What makes it worse is that he is only 20 years old. What probability is there that he will actually be at Barcelona during the prime years of his career? He will be gone to PSG before his prime years even begin. How will the club hold onto him if he behaves like this again. They will be forced to sell.

What's the point of spending so much money on a player only to see him vanish before he actually delivers what you want him to deliver. I feel like the club made a mistake with Neymar, and now right in front of my very eyes they are repeating the same mistake. The rationality of such decision making escapes my sense of reasoning.

Is this club slowly turning into a feeder club for the oil backed billionaires in Manchester and Paris?????

I hope we didn't mislead him into boycotting training, WTF. But seems like the kid has heart. He knows what he wants and will take matters into his own hands if necessary. Professional or not, i think he's looking to put pressure on Dortmund to negotiate and let him leave. Sorry things had to turn out like this. The amicable way is always the better way. Makes no sense having strained relationships between clubs.

I doubt it. Barca are his dream club hes always had a hard on for us. Neymar was and always will be a mercenary with his greedy father behind him

uefa will have to do something about PSG's spending at some point it can't continue. many clubs were laughing at us losing Neymar, especially Madrid fans but after Mbappe i can see alot of top european clubs being pissed at this situation. I dont think the Qatar world cup will go ahead, atleast in Qatar and that could be the start of a collapse.

Barca might be his dream club for now, but we've all seen how money can change people's dreams. I believe that players who come from the 'outside' are rarely ever loyal to one club. True loyalty can only be bred from within.

People calm down, we cannot just offter 120m fixed in cash. We need cash. We need it so we can buy Coutinho for 110m + 20m!

This is what i don't understand. We have the cash. Of course, we can't just throw cash around for the fuck of it, but we are clearly in a position where we need to spend to compete for titles. It's a catch 22. We had 80m therabouts for Veratti before Neymar jumped ship and 40m for Paulinho. We can use those funds and get these two players (Dembele&Phil) and Seri and be done with it. Or, we can keep the cash, buy average players and hope for the best. This is a critical juncture for us and perhaps we need to take the risk. It's not like we're coughing up money from nowhere. Use the 222m and improve the bids. Messi and Saurez are not going to be around forever. And who knows, we may never get this opportunity again. With the way the market is going, 222m will not be worth the same amount next season.

fair point you can never tell these days. loyalty is certainly dying. i think its a risk worth taking though, just please :bartomeu: put a 500m+ release clause on this boy

I think they want to close Dembele fast now, and then concentrate on Coutinho and will pressure Liverpool and Coutinho into selling for big bucks. Basically, think they realize that there is no point in buying avg players, it must be top top prospects to not lose sight of Real.

i remember back at the beggining of july they were only asking for 90m, moneymar's deal surely fucked us big time.

other clubs should know that neymar's case is different, he's top 3 players atm and he's at his peak, plus he's the most marketable player on the planet, he'll add more values to p$g (they sold 10.000 of his shirts on the first day), someone like dembélé on the other hand...
