If he really did feel it and choose not to say anything I wouldn't even call him stupid, just young. Plenty of kids in their teens and early 20's think they're a lot more invincible than they really are and Dembele probably just thought he could play through it as I'm sure he has plenty of times in the past. Despite his high transfer fee he's still mentally on the same level as any young forward from Barca B who is on the cusp of first team action. I'd have expected Sandro or Munir to ignore discomfort to get a chance to play under Lucho as well, just knowing how young players can be sometimes. It's the job of the coaches and physio to notice if a player seems to be having issues and if all these cameras were able to catch glimpses of the kid showing signs, our coaching and medical staff should shoulder part of the blame for not noticing.

Apparently this was from 10 days ago he was feeling something then. I'm guessing he was playing with some discomfort/injury and never told anyone about it until it was to late.

This was right before the kick off as well.

How do we know he's not just scratching himself in the training pics?

So unlucky. Was really looking forward to the start of his rivalry with Asensio. Now we probably until next season if we factor in the time required for him to settle in the team.

Out for 4 months? Damn that sucks for him :(

Our players do tend to be out less than the official estimate though. Could see him returning in the 2 months that was previously reported.

Wow 4 months, this sucks. Luckily we are having a good start to the season, I don't think we will feel his absence alot in the coming few months, it's a pity, because he could have used this time to adept and sync with the team without much pressure, it might be different when he comes back in 3 to 4 months.

It could be easily more than 4 months. He's broken a tendon. Judging by other Barça players who have suffered the exact same injury, he will be lucky if he can go back to playing regularly this season. Let's hope for the better.

That's a scary injury.

His injury is a pity, but I hope our time grows together as a team again during the coming 3 or 4 months. The last years were all about our three super-strikers, and our team (and also many fans) forgot that football isn't about individual stardom but about team-spirit. It's not about Messi or some other star player scoring goals and winning Ballon'Dors, its about entertaining fans and winning titles as a team. I hope our team understands this again and that our squad players step up during Ousmane's injury. We don't need the best players but the best spirit and the best collective tactics to suceed. So this injury is a chance for our team to grow together again and to entertain the world again like the did so many years. By the time Dembélé returns from his injury, i hope i can be integrated into a team that plays like a team again and not into a team that gives the ball to one of it's starplayers and hopes something magical happens.

We would have won nothing in the last three years if it wasnt for Messi.

With Dembele out, we will now need more magic from our other 2 leaders.

Messi and Paulinho :p
For what it worths, I badmouthed Paulinho a lot, but he isn't doing that bad. He saved us this week end.

Actually, he's doing good. I'm conflicted.

Bartomeu is too lucky.
