We would have won nothing in the last three years if it wasnt for Messi.

There wasn't a single word against Messi in this post, he had to carry our team because our team didn't play like a team but only relied on his magic or some magic moments of Neymar (especially in the last two seasons). He needs support from the other players as well. Why was this team so great with Pep as a coach? It wasn't only because the individual class of players like Xavi, Iniesta, Busi, Messi or Puyol. It was because no one of them was interested in individual stardom but in collective success.
Other teams like the "Galacticos" also had huge talent in their team (Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul, Beckham...) but they never played as a team, therefore they barly won any titles. The last two seasons our team reminded me a little bit of that "Galactico" team. They played and hoped that Messi, Neymar or Suárez delivered something magical (of course Messi often did so, but you can't expect from him to do so in every match, especially against big teams where he needs the support of all players). Additionally we had one player who only had in mind to make some tricks and runs for some youtube compilations (we all know which player ;)).
I hope Valverde is able that the team develops a team spirit again, where every player is important, not only our starplayers. Now without Dembélé we are reliant to this spirit, we can't expect from Messi to carry this team all alone in every match. With the right spirit it shouldn't be a problem to have one or two players in the team that don't have the skills to be a world class player. Man, under Pep our team even managed that players like Cuenca or Jeffren looked decent, it wasn't necessary to occupy every position with a world class player.
That's what I wanted to imply with my post, there wasn't any intention to critizise Messi.

Out for 4 months? Damn that sucks for him :(

Our players do tend to be out less than the official estimate though. Could see him returning in the 2 months that was previously reported.

I hope we won't rush him back. He's 20 and we invested that money to have him for 5 years or more so we should treat him like that and not rush him back to be our "saviour" if something will go wrong this season. Muscle injuries have to be taken seriously as they could easily turn out to be a problem for him in future if he won't fully recover now. So I'd prefer him to be out for 4 months or even a week or two more if this would prevent him from becoming injury prone.

I know, but the possible emergency signing requires at least 5 months for the player to be out.

So barca got very stupid unproven player for 150m, from which barca can benefit after 6,7 months or maybe never

Shit business

I think a player has to be sidelined for 6+ months in order to make a possible emergency signing within domestic league IIRC.
