Are you guys asking him to play like a fucking defender?

Great game from him, great goal, put in a shift defensively.

This is exactly it. I like that he tracked back plenty and all. It shows an adjustment in his attitude but he must work on his pressing. It’s seriosuly lacking.

But I was happy with his performance.

Don't say you are not impressed. You'll be labeled as troll.

Only three players were on "impressive level" tonight in my book: Messi, Titi and Willian.
Having said that, I'm very glad that mosquito scored, but I expect much more from him in the next season.

I find it's much better to evaluate the boy's talent and performances based on his age rather than his price tag.

That's just me though.

True. Especially because we were taken to the cleaners, courtesy of Zorc and Jurgen Klop.

Anyway, I think he is slowly beginning to look like a part of the team, but still has a long way to go to be fully integrated.

Scoring a first goal for the club is an important step. Congratz Dembouz! And many more.

Do fans of other clubs complain about the defensive deficiencies of their winger like (alleged) Barca fans have been doing with Dembele this season?

I don't think I've ever seen the topic of tracking back, pressing hard enough, etc. ever be raised when talking about the likes of Hazard, Robben, Neymar, et al., but this seems to be a weekly occurrence now with Dembele critics. Outside of Sanchez, can one of his Dembele's critics cite some talented wingers who have a high defensive workrate that you think he should learn from?

Valverde knew some of the defensive risks when He played Dembele but there's a trade off as he did pretty well and even scored a goal and help put in a shift defensively.

The kid is 20 soon to be 21 years old, he's not going to be perfect in tracking back right now at this moment.

Totally different scenario.

For Neymar he is one of hardest working wide players out there who does defend and defends well.

But it is about wide players in this Barca team that already has Messi that doesnt defend that much and Suarez also.

Dembele could go somewhere and be star man and it wouldnt matter as much.

What trolling. What 5-6 trolls. Stop spouting bullshit.
Well from top of my head The Great One, Total-Football, Ripsta, from those who i remember, some random posters as well. I guess it is down to definition of trolling. For me it has always been posting massively exaggerated opinions or just false information to get argument going.
To but things into perspective, calling someone flop after 7 games and demanding transfer. Sure, it may be someones opinion, but in any logical conversation, it will cause the similar reaction as pure trolling, even if it is not intentional.
Found this nice explanation:
Not all trolls are created equal. While some trolls find it amusing to wind up another person until that person has a meltdown, others may not even realize that their behavior is disruptive. Sometimes, people are simply rude and aggressive without trying to behave like a troll -- particularly if they disagree with the subject of a conversation. You may have even behaved like a troll unintentionally. But if you learn about the strategies trolls use to cause trouble, you can avoid being a troll yourself.

Ah, I see, so he's supposed to do something that isn't demanded of the other top players at his position.

Messi doesn't defend but today he pressed Chelsea defenders the whole game.

All wingers track back and help out in defence but what I don’t agree with are some opinions that he should get behind the ball and tackle like a midfielder or defender. That’s just ridiculous.

But as a winger playing for Barça, he must press and press hard.

Do you lie or purpose? Is your memory bad? Or are you psychotic??????

[tw]974029985953599488[/tw]

Wtf?
At the beginning of this video, Dembele is near his player.
Then Dembele falls asleep and loses his player.
Then Dembele makes a tackle.

Seriously wtf?

He lost his player.
It was his fault.

Good tackle in the end though.
But he caused it.
