I'd forget about Neymar he is in the past. Facts are we sacrificed a lot to squeeze in MSN.

De Jong and De Ligt now that could be a more solid direction and can set us up for the next decade.

If we sell Dembele (and Malcom) we would be left with two 30+ players (Massi and Suarez) and Munir in attack. We can not build everything on our midfield and defense, we also need attackers mate. Balance of the squad is a crucial thing. Some of you should also realize that we only have 3 fast players in the squad (Alba, Semedo and Dembele) so selling one of those 3 would not be a wise idea. When you have situation like we had against Real at 2-1 player like Dembele is a PERFECT solution for every squad.

He needs to be disciplined, apparently. But if we manage to do that we will get a great player.
Valverde seems to be ruthless when dealing with him, and that is great news, if he came here and felt entitled to everything.

We can hope he will have a point to prove these games when Messi is out - we could really need it..

his enemies have not had the opportunity to pound him for the match of Real Madrid, but they will wait tomorrow to come tell his bullshit if Valverde replaces him.

The overhyping of everything Dembele does is embarrassing on here. He made a great play for the 5th goal (although Nacho's defending helped a lot) but the overreaction on here is insane.

Suarez, Roberto, and Rakitic were all far better for example, but they'll still get bashed the next time they have an average game. Meanwhile, Dembele makes one very good play (when the team has a 3 goal lead) after four straight terrible games and all of a sudden he's "silenced the haters."

Actually, everyone gets hyped and bashed. Messi included. Dembele is no exception. Football forums are basically made of exaggeration and short memory and it goes both ways...love & hate.

he's definitely not over hyped here. he gets crucified for every poor performance... rightfully so at times. he is getting praise because he was all over media with speculations about laziness, tardiness, and beef with the coach before coming off the bench to absolutely boss it. he showed true spirit and desire to work for his place here. that's all.

One great moment is not "absolutely bossing it"

what bullshit!
Before Dembélé entered the field, Barça was ahead with only one goal.
valverde eliminated rafinha to put Dembele and
that's when Madrid fell.
Dembélé participated in 75% of the final victory and the fall of lopetegui in just 15 minutes.

hope he can a find another club. can just tell he would flourish literally everywhere else. just completely unfortunate to have fallen under the grasp of valverde during his tenure at barca

why should he find another club?

i can't help but feel like he'd develop into a legit top 3 player if he played under a tuchel in psg or a pep at man city. his best attribute in his speed isn't being utilised enough in this stagnant, slow-paced offense

this manager can stay and start rafinha or whoever he wants and we'll see how far it gets him in the deeper stages of the seaon when he's not facing the weakest spurs and madrid sides in years

I don't really understand why velverde doesn't think of him instead of Messi when Messi is injured ?

Velverde is really a bad manager

Neymar's defensive contribution was very undervalued, he often ran up and down the left side when we had or lost the ball, more than Messi and Suarez combined. Also to note, I dont want him anywhere near the club, but we sacrifice our midfield to cover Messi, Neymar wasn't the issue in that aspect.

That would still only mean young central defense (Umtiti & De Ligt), young central mid (Arthur & De Jong) & sort of a veteran but still young attack/mid Coutinho - We would still have to make sure the rest of the team is still good to be set up for a whole decade - But, yeah it would be a great start

Neymar's runs are never questioned, definitely not when we lose the ball and he rushes towards the defense, but he is not somebody who keeps making runs and opening up options for the mid field to dictate the play - He has to have the ball with him to be involved in the game - So, yeah we did have to sacrifice our mid field domination to accompany the MSN!
