I could honestly see us selling, if we revieve a tasty offer. The way EV plays doesn't really cater to someone like Dembélé, which should be clear by now. So unless the club is actually looking for a new coach behind the scenes, I could see us letting him go.

Yeah it makes sense to sell him in January. Some of you guys would believe rumors even if some idiot wrote post about swaping Messi for Mbappe.

I don's see us selling as I don't see anyone offering enough. Doubt we're ready to take a massive loss on him. Besides, he's been okayish so far. Certainly doubt we sell while he's on his 'down'.

Perhaps Arsenal will be willing to invest some big bucks. Who knows, a lot depends on his play until June.

Calm your tits. I don't know what rumors you're hearing, and I couldn't care less. It doesn't change the fact that the way Dembélé's tenure here is evolving, you'd be dumb not to believe that the club could have doubts over his future here.

No one knows what will happen until June but RAC1 was talking about January and that's an utter bullshit.

Psg would want him to move mbappe central and challenge for UCL.

Neymar Mbappe Dembele

Not a bad front 3 I reckon they'd offer some good cash for him I dont see anyone else having the money or need for him.

Let me just preface this by saying, that I absolutely do not think that Rafinha is obsolete or an irrelevant player. He's a good player and he was great against Inter. However, he definitely doesn't create a whole lot and he's a far inferior dribbler compared to Dembélé. This doesn't mean that he's bad, it just means that Dembélé is excellent in both of those aspects.

7. not being a turnover machine

Actually, there's not a massive difference between the two of them in terms of giving the ball away. If you look at misplaced passes and times dispossessed and compare it to the total number of touches, while also keeping attempted dribbles in mind, there's not a big difference between them. Dembélé on average has five touches for every ball he gives away. Rafinha has about eight touches for every ball he gives away. Rakitic and Busquets, for comparison, has 11 touches for every ball they give away. When you consider how many more dribbles he completes and how many more chances he creates, I'm surprised that Dembélé doesn't give the ball away at a much high rate than Rafinha.

Consider this. Rafinha on average has 82 touches per 90 minutes of football. Dembélé on average has 69 touches per 90 minutes of football. At their current rate that would mean that Rafinha would lose the ball through misplaced passes, unsuccessful touches or being tackled 10 times in his average 90 minutes of football. Dembélé would give the ball away 14 times. When you consider that Dembélé completes over two dribbles per 90 minutes and provides almost three key passes, compared to Rafinha's 0,5 successful dribbles per 90 and less than one key pass, the difference in balls lost is completely negligible.

What is definitely true is that Rafinha is much more of a defensive contributor, recovering 3,5 balls per 90 minutes compared to Dembélés 1,5. If you choose Rafinha over Dembélé, you choose an approach much more geared for retaining possession and defensive stability. But trying to claim that Rafinha can hold a candle to Dembélé offensively is dumb in my opinion.

I think Coutinho is underperforming more than Dembele yet people here want the club to sell the kid.

EV will be gone at the end of this season and hopefully, we will have a new manager who actually knows the basics of wing play. Selling Dembele is plain stupid.

I have always maintained how he will be a very effective impact sub, that's how his pace and creativity will be out to very good use. Sadly, he was hardly utilised for his strengths and gets punished for his weaknesses.

Even when Messi comes back, he still needs a little bit more gametime along with Malcom.

The rest of the top clubs would kill for a player with his pace

There are few youngsters in world football with Dembele's ceiling. I think he's worth keeping. For me Valverde is the issue. If Dembele has a bad game he's immediately dropped. Ditto Semedo. Meanwhile other players can have a run of shitty form and still be undropable.

We also suck at selling. If we do sell it should be at the price we bought.

We are not looking to sell, it's a another clickbait FFS.

 Or Dembele = Neymar or Dembele + Coutinho = Mbappe

I'd forget about Neymar he is in the past. Facts are we sacrificed a lot to squeeze in MSN.

De Jong and De Ligt now that could be a more solid direction and can set us up for the next decade.
