He was average to OK with Xavi. Flick has gotten the best out of him. Different level player now.

But let's face it, I think Raphinha started playing better since Yamals rise.

Raphina is still a flop and shite, but Flick is such an elite manager that he makes even modest players rise up 2 tiers above their usual level.

he needs to upload his birth certificate. No way this guy is Brazilian. Not a Brazilian winger in existence worse than him 1 on 1.

People have been patient with him and he was very worrying at times.

Genius Flick move giving him this new role that worked miracles.

disclaimer: wanted him to stay and try lw under flick instead of freeing up space for nico. Still dog[+{^ 1 v 1.

Extreme yo-yo'ing takes on his skills and technical capabilities. All that is fine, but I always thought his biggest weakness was decision making, he would make brain dead decisions so often when near the box - going to wait and watch on this one, because he's clearly doing better under Flick's system and this new role fits him well. That combined with the fact he's going through a good patch where his finishes go in (he has not been a great finisher for us in his time here). That form will probably settle down, but very curious if his decision making has improved.

He has really make a big step up and also become a vocal leader of this team while at the same time giving a good example to youngsters how to give your 120% every time you step on the pitch.

Also good he wasn't called up for Brazil NT (no idea why but it's a good news for us - I think this rejection also additionaly fired him up to prove Dorival Junior wrong) so he can rest a bit as we'll depend on him a lot this season. Hopefully won't get too rusty not playing for two weeks though.

Remember all the way back on August 27th 2024 when people used to call Raphinha a bum with no pausa in his game and that he broke up all our attacks being a headless chicken and making all the wrong decisions?

How times have changed

Yeah he was awful on rw. Rightfully lost his spot to a 16 year old. Crazy to think what would have happened if Raphinha did well. The world would not get to know Lamine.
We should be thankful to him he was ass.

Okay exaggerating.

That was pre-Flick Raphi ⚽️

Flick will get all the credit in the world if we win the league. If players improve their performances of course he has a major role in that.

Same for Araujo, on the other thread. If he stops making dumb passing errors and commit stupid fouls while implementing some brains in his game, Flick is gonna get the credit for that.

There's no way a manager doesn't get credit if good things happen in the team and titles are won. Only idiots deny credit to title winning managers.

Tranquilo, Raph will no doubt still make brainless decisions but as we all know the effort is always there and that’s priceless

Raphinha for RAC 1
"The minimum objective? The minimum objective is to win. The Champions League? Of course. It must be this one. Playing for Barça means the main objective is to win all the titles: the League, the Champions League, the Cup, the Super Cup... If you are in a club like this and you don't set yourself that objective, you are in the wrong place."
