He is a very good player, but I wouldn't call him world class. He just doesn't look anything special, maybe in the right system he could be a great addition.

Good. Not a single player of Liverpool's stellar attack was world-class at the time of their signing.

He may well he world class in a decent team !

He is brilliant for Leeds ( their number 10) and excellent for Brazi .

Only just turned 25 a couple of months ago

Would be a truly excellent signing, but hard to pull off. Our best hope is that he is a massive Barca fan as most Brazilians are.

Agent Alves will sort him out during the NT break.

He'd better, because there will be plenty of suitors, and the only way the price is manageable for us is if he wants Barca in particular. I like the profile of a direct, pacy player with proper discipline and mentality.

Leeds is unlikely to drop, so his buyout is 75m. If we can get him for a 40-45m. that would be good.

His agent is Deco, Laporta's friend and our unofficial scout in South America.

But if Leeds doesn't relegate, we will have to pay his release clause (75m?) to get him right?

Not if he asks to leave. But probably a good bit more than the 35m. which was our first offer apparently.

50M is gonna be the max. He'll want to leave Leeds for sure this summer, now even more when sacked Bielsa, and they'll probably be fighting to avoid relegation next season as well. I think we can come together on around 40M, maybe 5 or 10 more in bonuses if we win the CL in the next 3 years or something like that.

We can only get him for an amount below his release clause if there is no competition, right?

If there is, then say if another club is willing to pay his release clause, the only thing that stops the transfer from happening would be only if Raphinfa himself is not willing to go that club?

Yeah, that's about it. If he wants to go and only to Barca, we can deal with Leeds. If he just wants a top club no matter which one, it's gonna be hard for us to get him.

I imagine Liverpool will go in to replace Salah with him.
