Meh, so far so good. Can't moan too much about conceding from 1 vs 1 situations or good shots.

Used to having keepers that ship in goals the best keepers would probably save. That is the only reality I've experienced in 20something years of supporting the club.

So far Pena's blunder count is 0. That's the relevant metric for me. So far opponents needed good shots or clear situations to score past him. Of course he is not gonna be a savior constsntly like the best keepers.

I like pena in that I want him to do well. But at this point still fully expect he’ll cost us a game or two in the future. Fingers crossed these will be games that don’t get us knocked out of a race. Or our attack outscores his errors. That’s also possible.

Isn't fair to throw him under the bus for no apparent reason. Sends a wrong message to other teammates.

Oh...he will, but Szczęsny I'll remember not exactly as a savior ala Jan Tomaszewski in England vs Poland on Wembley 1973, but rather someone who cost us dearly and made me wanna kick his ass bad 🤬😤🫣e.g. Poland vs Greece 2012 or vs Senegal 2018. Arsenal or Juve fans could easily relate to that too.
Szczęsny isn't really a star GK in my book...he is more than a decent one but not someone I'll tell stories about when putting my grandsons to bed...ha ha ha. But a funny fellow, interesting character, nonetheless.

I am just saying, no matter who there is between the stick, there's going to be a match or two that he'll be said to be the culprit of the undesired outcome.

Don't get why he gets praise. He haven't made a single "save" yet. The Mbappes offside one was his best bit and it still was mostly due to bad execution of the forward. Not that he's much worse than Ter Statue, mind you, but i'd rather see what Schesny is all about than watch games and have cold sweat every time somebody actually manages to shoot past Pena and actually into goal mouth. He has zero leaping technique.

Did you see his little leap yesterday for the second goal lol, comedy stuff. Not that he would have saved it anyway because it was well placed but the leap itself was something to behold
