13 - Iñaki Peña

It's true that Pena didn't do anything really wrong but if Flick prefers Tek he should play him.

Our previous managers would just continue to play Pena so they wouldn't hurt his feelings. A plus for Flick in my book!

Well, that's what Sport quote in Barcamans post said. Maybe they made that up.
Ah, I had missed the quote. Probably true.

But I think most would take that benching pretty harshly. Could also be good that it affects him rather than him being unambitious and happy to be back on the bench.

You're welcome
As much as I love Pena’s arc this season I think is right call for Flick to gamble on Tek still.

Pena against top attackers will simply not get to some well placed shots in time like the Rodrygo freekick. Pena also more vulnerable during set pieces even though has done decent so far. But with Tek not even breaking sweat getting to ball first.

In Flicks defense, everybody asked for Woj to get a chance. And you got to give him a run of games to acclimatize.

Pena has been rather decent though, doesn't really deserve to be dropped.

Tough call.

That's why he gets paid the big bucks, too make these kinda calls.

After about 5 straight games we can see where Woj is at.

I don’t like it at all but perhaps we don’t know everything

Considering the Pole’s errors, something has to be going on with Iñaki that we are not privy to. We heard about arriving late and not starting, suggesting there is friction between coaching staff & gk

Going into a contract year, not a tenable situation for sporting sector

Always take still pictures with a grain of salt.

He's probably in his feelings, but the club would be crazy to pull Woj out of retirement and all that cost that went into that and not give him the #1 jersey.

At least until he fucks up

He need to stay professional and committed. Nothing to suggest he isn't so far btw. Just saying.

It can change very quickly. If Tek keep making mistakes in every game there will be a point where he'll be the starter once again.

In an ideal world neither guy would start for Barca, but the world where we have an injury prone GK that's been mediocre in Europe for most of his career and is our captain, obviously isn't the ideal world.
