But I think most would take that benching pretty harshly. Could also be good that it affects him rather than him being unambitious and happy to be back on the bench.
As much as I love Pena’s arc this season I think is right call for Flick to gamble on Tek still.
Pena against top attackers will simply not get to some well placed shots in time like the Rodrygo freekick. Pena also more vulnerable during set pieces even though has done decent so far. But with Tek not even breaking sweat getting to ball first.
I don’t like it at all but perhaps we don’t know everything
Considering the Pole’s errors, something has to be going on with Iñaki that we are not privy to. We heard about arriving late and not starting, suggesting there is friction between coaching staff & gk
Going into a contract year, not a tenable situation for sporting sector
He's probably in his feelings, but the club would be crazy to pull Woj out of retirement and all that cost that went into that and not give him the #1 jersey.
He need to stay professional and committed. Nothing to suggest he isn't so far btw. Just saying.
It can change very quickly. If Tek keep making mistakes in every game there will be a point where he'll be the starter once again.
In an ideal world neither guy would start for Barca, but the world where we have an injury prone GK that's been mediocre in Europe for most of his career and is our captain, obviously isn't the ideal world.
