Bumsi handled this situation pooorly, not surprised.

Couldn't care less about Inaki, hope we'll get few millions for him in summer so Fatporta can pay for his expensive dinners.

Was clear they wanted to introduce the polish clown into the starting eleven somehow and came up with this excuse about Pena being late.

While Pena is a poor GK, the way it was handled is a joke.

Supportive of Bumsi but this was handled poorly by him. Every trainer has that one player that gets short end of stick and situation created that could have been handled better.

It was a clear message to Pena when Szczesny was starting La Liga games ahead of him. He's better than you, with him the team wins with you wins less - not much to discuss there for Flick to write paragraphs and speechs for Pena on why he got dropped.

The problem is Pena here, if shit in the media is true which might as well not be the case. How Szczesny handled it? He said if it's not broken don't fix, he prioritized what's best for the team. Meanwhile Pena is crying and wants Flick to explain the decision, when team is yet to lose a game with Szczesny on goal. There is really not much that needs to be explained.

You're not surprised while practically everyone, from current to former players to other managers praise his relationships with players.

You are full of shite sometimes.

Yes, I called Sczedcny would be groomed into starting XI like with Frenkie and very little to sway Flick from that.

But issue here seems how Flick communicated the situation to Pena.

There is literally no coming back for him,
he lost his place, TER will come back.

We better gett some good money for him, cause he was good when he started

Good call from herr. I was afraid he would succumb to catalan favoritism, but he did what is best for club. Pena did fine this season, but he is subpar goalie by default on account of his size alone and hasn't proven himself on big stage despite not being youngster anymore. Good sweeping wont mitigate his deficiencies.

Tek is reliable saver. He can make blunders, but he has no inherent flaws that Pena has and has proven to save games.
Keeping Pena would just affirm the careless club politics regarding goalkeeping.

That said, both of them and Statue should be phased out eventually for new generation of reliable keepers. God i hope club realizes that.

If we signed that reserve gk from Las Palmas, in matter of few matches every Barca "expert" within the club will be shocked at how terrible ter Stegen was . Our gk coach is an idiot.

I think by now we all should know how terrible TER STEGEN is.
Back up keeper and back up to back up keeper have both performed way better than him

According to Sport Betis and Celta are interested in him. Not sure he would be a starter at either of those clubs. Well, def not Betis who are getting Valles on a free and Guaita is doing ok in Vigo too. Should probably go to Turkey or smh, that's his level.

Turkey's not his level

He's a solid GK, can be a starter for a big club easily (specifically considering what bums most those clubs are still employing)

We must not let his market value decrease just because we had a better GK. Performances he has shown before dropped this season are more than enough to sell him for a good price.

He isn't good enough to be first choice GK at any club with ambition, add to that his discipline problems I would be surprised if we get more than 5 mill for him

Girona perhaps. Gazzaniga is turning 34.

Depends if City group want to have a few decent Catalans there for the locals, or want to put a future prospect there for Man City.

Though this season, I question which is the feeder team.
