I wasn't saying it wasn't true... Just commenting on the quality of the picture, I could only see some mustard colored spots over some green background...

From that picture alone, it's impossible to draw a conclusion, that's all I said...

Mascherano is good on the ground, but he was so horrible in the air vs Athletico, that it was painful to watch. He was trying hard, but almost every time not only he lost air duel, but he also ended on the ground. Also he likes his sliding tackles too much. Often it works, but sometimes it ends with opponents in counterattack against Pique, while Mascherano is stretched on the ground.

Doesnt matter, he was the best by far the last game even though he is too short for a C.B, he brings all the other things this teams lacks, grit, superb tackles, anticipation, workrate.
Would be a really bad decision to sell him, keep him and move him to DM, Busquets are having a really bad year except a couple of performances.

Lucho will keep him, but I doubt he'll be smart enough to switch him to a backup/rotation DM. Masch at CB isn't good enough for world class opposition.

I really hope he stays. He can play in the back and a sweeper in midfield, plus his attitude, leadership and health are awesome. Shouldn't be a problem sharing the position with Busquets. He'll get far more minutes than Song did anyway.

Very glad to read this even though they come from crap sources. Masch is simply too valuable to this team to sell.

This is the kind of player you make an effort to keep. This guy has all the right stuff his only downfall is he is short, but in the midfield he can be pure fire sharing minutes with Busquets or even competing with him. Even heard Yaya might take a cut to get back here cuz he's unhappy at shitty.

Agree with Pepe but I think more than a lack of height, his technical skills are inferior to most of what we see at Barcelona - even deep into the cantera...Perhaps he can get better seeing that he wouldn't be asked to be on the ball very much as a DM...Shame we can't spread that intensity & tackling of his around
