I'd love to see Busquets given an extended run in Xavi's position with Masch as the defence protector.

i've been wanting this to happen for a year or two, but we only played song with busi which obviously failed and people are saying that double pivot would fail. not with the correct players and preparation tho' and they don't see that. i too think that busi can occupy xavi's position and do extremely well and eventually better in his own way, while masch will be a monster DM behind him. busi and masch paired in midfield MUST happen at least 5 times to be sure whether it can work out or not

Lucho could move Busi further up or put him alongside Masch in midfield. So many players wasted at Barca out of position its criminal.

Yep, Masche is much more faster and agressive as a DM compared to Busquets. If I were Lucho I'll definitely try to give him fair chances of playing over Busi.

If they're played in a double pivot, either Iniesta or Messi will be moved out of position. You can't fit everyone in.

But you can start Masche over Busi, at least rotate them. El jefecito earned himself this right !

They are very different but tv series is also very good.The season finale of season 2 was nothing I have ever seen and I was dumbstruck for 15 minutes.The best episode I have ever watched perhaps.

This is exactly what I think. Basically rotate mascherano, busquets & Rakitic in the midfield 2.

Messi, neymar, Iniesta and suarez could be quite fluid up top.

Looks decent. Only problem is that Iniesta isn't nearly as effective as a wide player as he is in the middle. Could be resolved by keeping the attacking full backs and since Mash and Busquets are covering that shouldn't be a problem. However that creates the problem of Iniesta and Neymar wanting to push into the middle. Suarez will want to drop back a bit and it will get a bit crowded which as we know has been a problem in the past but could be worth a trial run at different points against certain opposition.
