There is no other player in the world that can take Busi's role. He has to cover so much ground and is part of nearly every build up move.
I cannot understand the comments about him declining. Of course he looked better with Puyol behind him, prime Xavi next to him and prime Messi in front of him.

Masch is great but he could not play a lone pivot for Barca. Him AND Busi would be really awesome though.

But he is nowhere near the player he used to be, i remember him as imposing as hell, directing and breaking up plays. this year he with the odd exception he was nowhere to be seen.

Well, some of us thought that he'll be a back-up for Busi but after his incredible performances he has to start from the beginning. Maybe we'll switch to 4-2-3-1 with Busi and Mascherano/Rakitic. But where will the Don play?

Iniesta has been very good at RM with Spain in their last group match at the World Cup but it was a meaningless match and the opponent was Australia so...

Best way is to make it where the trio of Messi, Iniesta, and Neymar can roam and the double pivots can pick up their slack.

Captain is going to be someone who is a definite starter. If Xavi leaves I think Iniesta is the likely candidate.
