Fuck this shit! One of our most consistent players in the last seasons, and one that has given his 100% even in bad times, wants to leave and there's nothing we can do...

And to think we have a shortage of CBs and this news just skyrocketed the price of all available ones... Maybe if we could get some money from other players that are leaving? Oh yeah, now I remember, we let players go for free!

We should ask for 80+ million for this guy, but we'll probably receive 5 million if we receive anything at all...

I hope this is false. What does he want the board to do seriously? He committed a tax fraud ffs. This complaints of not getting support from the board is getting tiresome . What matters is lucho's and the players trust that he has. He has the second most minutes in the squad.

He should add the fanbase to the list of people who appreciate him, I mean the guy is pretty much universally loved and respected among Barca fans. I don't think anyone is even remotely enjoying the thought of him leaving no matter what kind of hypothetical deals on new players we could strike as a part of his departure.

That the club is not middling in his tax issues is understandable, though. What are they supposed to do, launch a twitter statement with a picture of the Barca crest saying "We're sure Mascherano payed every tax dollar he owed, we're all in agreement that he's a cracking good guy over here!". It would just be adding to the off-pitch noise, and God knows there's enough of that as it is during a regular season.

Mascherano is one of the most appreciated players in the squad. I don't think that has to do with anything.

I won't buy any of this. Besides, he's not the first player who has felt unappreciated by the club (for whatever reasons) and yet stayed at the club. I hope he stays. Specially when the rumored club is one fugly one!

Difference is, Barca will pay for Ney's tax problems. Messi's probably too.
Special treatment can irk people.

As long as he's under contract he should be going nowhere unless we get a massive transfer fee.

I don't buy all the crap about the board either with players. They're all extremely well paid and play for each other, the coach and even the fans more than the board.

It's just another reason for people who don't like board to blame them. Yes, they are far from perfect but I don't think they should be involved in tax issues of our players. They are not 10 years old and can take care of that themselves. They also don't need emotional support or whatever as if they had cancer like Abidal. Just pay your taxes and go on.

Disappointed in Masche if this is really one of the reasons he wants to go.
