Yeah, in the games we need to be a little more attacking - we can take off Masch or Sergi, send Iniesta back in midfield and bring on Pedro in place of Iniesta. On other occasions, putting Masch and Sergi in the middle is like putting a no entry sign for the opposition.

Pep's version of a 4-2-3-1 is really 4-2-4 with Messi slightly withdrawn off of the main striker. This was one of the solutions Pep came up with to make man marking Messi impossible. The other solution was to put him in the false nine role.

Xavi needs to occupy his typical deep role. He is ineffective in the hole as he can't dictate the game from such an advanced position when the other team has 9 men behind the ball at all times.
