17 - Marc Casadó

He's done great so far but there's no doubt that the system suits him.
Wouldn't he struggle as a single pivot in a 433???

That's true of any player. Smart managers build systems around the players they have.

It would have been idiotic to play Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets in a 10-behind-the-ball box-to-box counterattacking team.

TBH, I think Iniesta would be great in Flick's system too. Either in Pedri or Olmo role.

Xavi and Busquets not so much as they were more posession heavy.

Xavi was underrated off the ball. He moved into space well, especially when Messi was F9, then you needed players constantly threatening the CBs, if it was CMs or wingers.

Think he'd do very well next to Casado in Pedri's role. Better than Iniesta in that specific position.

Casado will likely be called up for Spain for their upcoming Nations League fixtures against Switzerland and Denmark. [Sport]

Zubimendi will be a starter but cool for Casado to get a call up.

Even if we had the money he rejected both us and Liverpool to stay with La Real.

I don't think anyone expected Casado to play at such a high level before the season started.

He's shown enough so far that we should stay committed to him and see how he fairs after a complete season.
