His creative contribution is really great, but the most valuable part of his work is still in the minor things he does continuously to tie things together.

Tireless running yes, but tireless focus as well, which adds up to a lot over the course of 90 minutes. Can see it rubbing off on others too. The type of leader you want in there.

Assists are just the cherry on top of his game for me.

It's unbelievable to be playing at that level after only 4 months in the first team..he plays like a 32 years old Player..I'm really impressed. De La Fuente will call him soon I guess with Rodri injured. Just crazy.

Called up for Spain. Well done.

Not the thread for it but I'll put it here anyways. Neither Cubarsi or Inigo called up which is surprising given their form, but good for us.

Hopefully Cubarsi isn't with the U21 as it is a complete waste for him.

same thoughts here.....turning from a guy who was fighting for his first team place 3 months ago to a national team member, really impressive

A small anecdote here https://www.relevo.com/futbol/liga-primera/cuece-barca-acuerdo-nike-llamada-20241109123952-nt.html that says that Deco was worried about Casado not playing even though Xavi kept calling him up as he had faith in his quality. So he talked to Marquez to ensure that he would be able to play for Barca Athletic even though he never trained with them, which Marquez had no issues with even though it's unusual.

Flick also told Casado to stay and that he counted on him which made Casado's doubts about his immediate future here go away.

The athletic ran a piece that said Xavi played a role in him staying as well yesterday.

Told him you just need more time and worked with Marquez.

So basically everyone saw he had talent for the first team, it was just about timing.
