I kind of thought he was a goner because for a while, there wasn't really any news about whether he was going to get renewed, and I thought maybe he'd move on as we already had some other good younger prospects.

Then he got renewed and the club decided a little bit later that it's time to move on from Bob and bet on Casado to fill that role in the team. It ended up being the right decision overall and he's done a lot more than just be a squad player he's established himself as a starting DM.

Dude had a hell of a year so far.

Sergio Busquets told @partidazocope on Marc Casadó:
“He has surprised us a lot. We already knew that he was very good because I knew him from training and from my last year at Barça. The truth is that the level he is giving now is superlative - moving the team and also giving assists. He is spectacular.”

I agree, he's a standout player - actually, he's player we could build our new Barca around, one of the players anyway - that's how good he's been.

He does look a real talent to me, as I have said before. Think he could be the DM lynchpin for Barca and Spain for years to come.

I know a few people on here are still unsure, but for me he looks like he could really be a mainstay in the teams.

It's incredible because with Bernal he looked the second cog in midfield.

What a great mentality to take his opportunity and impose his will (fuck I just quoted UFC Rogan).

If he keeps this up he will make the position his own because he has effective octagon control and incredible dexterity (fuck there I go again).

The only thing that worries me long term is his small stature and physic. We won't always play in Flick's system where he can hide the negatives very well for now.

I think like this, great players play great regardless of their physic. Casado will do just fine.

Marc Casadó has convinced Luis de la Fuente and the Spanish national team during this international break. If he continues his current level, he will be a regular in the team in the next breaks and even more so with Rodri out injured.

He started and played the whole match yesterday as well.

Very mobile and comfortable on and off the ball.
