I've said that many times lol. They played more as a team when he got injured and didn't have to carry his laziness and playing the width of the box. He'd never done anything in any big knockout game before at int. level, after all.

And true on Yamal.

I'd say Rodri or Ruiz deserved POTT.

But he was a contender for it definitely. He's 17 so YPOTT is good for him right now.

Yeah him too, should have mentioned him.

Yamal was on the periphery of games a little more often than they were. However, that's the nature of a midfielder vs a winger or more forward player. They were the heartbeat of the team and set the tone. Yamal played his part in that but was more there for cutting edge.

Rodri deserved it without a doubt as well...Ruiz was great in group stage but after that he faded a bit... not sure if Olmo outshined him was the reason... but if there was ever a chance for both prices be given to one person, it was that moment..

Fair points. What I like about Ruiz is he really took responsibility as the leader of the team and midfield tonight after Rodri went off at HT. Zubimendi was great when he came on also. Always knew Zubi was good anyway. Of course they've never heard of him in England so obviously Rice is ten times the player he is.

Already a better International legacy the Ronaldo, btw (no, we do NOT consider stat padding vs minnows in qualifiers as something of note).

Both 5 goal contributions in KO matches in either EUROs or WC.

Lamine accomplished his 5 g+a in 4 matches, Ronaldo needed 22 matches to hit 5 g+a.

Yamal vs Bellingham could be the next Messi vs Ronaldo.

Bellingham is young, but few years older than Lamine (same as CR7 is few years older than Messi)

Bellingham is a great player, but not as great as some people think (like Ronaldo) and he have better club achievements because hes playing in Real Madrid (like Ronaldo) while Yamal is great in Barcelona, but thats Barcelona, so Bellingham have one more CL than him.

On the other hand, Lamine have Euro 2024 and was very important for his team to win that tournament (like Messi). He scored an inch perfect screamer when his team needed that (like Messi vs Mexico). He broke few records (like Messi), because he is the youngest player to score a goal in Euro history and he get the most assist in one Euro tournament in its history. Bellingham won nothing with England. Lamine international legacy is already better than Bellingham international legacy (like Messi vs Ronaldo).

They played in final game of important tournament against each other and Lamine won (like Messi vs Ronaldo in CL final in their early career).

Lamine dominant left foot vs Bellingham dominant right foot like Messi vs Ronaldo

Barcelona player vs Real Madrid player like Messi vs Ronaldo

They are both great at such a young age like Messi vs Ronaldo

Lamine is humble and Bellingham is cocky like Messi and Ronaldo

I hope Lamine Yamal is gonna have great career with similar longevity, because his very first stage is almost perfect. Imagine winning La Liga and Euro 2024 while being 16 y/o. He have potential to end up as one of the best in history.
