I need to watch the situation again because I still don't get how their striker got himself into that position in the first place.

All I and @serghei want is for these kids to prove themselves on the biggest stages before we hype them up to high heavens.

Cubarsi is phenomenal for his age but he shit the bed tonight. No excusing it. Even more so considering he saw how the red fucked us over last year (of course, we didn't have Flick + Ted back then).

Probably our defenders were expecting a pass to an offside Benfica player. Pavlidis saw he was offside, and went solo. By the time we caught up with his plan, it was too late.

The defensive system we are playing with is literally a joke.

Frenkie de soft and a straight run down the middle

Seems like both CBs switched off for a moment there as well. Both expecting the pass and setting up the offside trap

What a shame.

Ball in air.. FDJ went up to win it got nudged and striker took it down... probably too soft for a FK.

When he took it down Pedri, Inigo and Cubarsi stood and watched him as he ran bewteen both CBS.

Poor all round and Cubarsi left chasing it.

Look at it. Our defenders are literally running in the opposite direction to the action because they are trying to leave some guy offside. It's a joke. How the hell you're supposed defend the player on the ball if you're focused on what he might do?

Then you have to stop, then you have to launch and follow the action, then you make a desperate tackle and you get a red card in min 20.

Just stop using fucking offside trap all the time. It's been found out. Teams have already adjusted to it and are using this stupid "idea" against us.

I repeat....that was a good decision and nice tackle but unlucky due to the little bobble micro second before his foot reached.

Quick thinking too.....some of these reactions are instinct driven. Wouldn't blame him or Araujo. In the case of Araujo, team even had a 2 goal lead but was squandered by a moronic game management by the "fraud" of a coach.

You're welcome
Really? If today we drew PSG away instead of Benfica and we end up in 10 men in min 20 or so, it's tie over. We were lucky as fuck. It did not work out.

So you are looking only at this game to draw that significant conclusion?

But will say dont like the idea of overrelying on it either.

But think overall has worked great so far. maybe luck factors into it dunno.

A serious opponent will not only knock us out but also serve up a humiliation unless Tek is on steroids again.
