Dani Olmo's transfer is a perfect example of how poorly Barca is currently being administered and a test for determining the part of the fan base that is deluded and irrational.
Anyone who supported spending almost 60m on this injury laden, average and unnecessary player should know he or she is deluded.
It was not only a waste of scarce resources but completely dumb. Especially when you did not have the immediate cash for such a transfer and would have to increase your debt profile to acquire. It then gets worse when you knew there was not enough headroom for his salaries but somehow got convinced you could find a crooked route to register or hoped on a divine intervention, magnanimity of a squad member or a miracle to register such.
If these were for a generational talent or a GOAT like player that Barca never wanted to miss out, that could have made sense.....but going through all of these for a semi permanently injured average 27 year old player is criminal.
If Christensen was not injured and Gundo was not so magnanimous, a 60m waste would probably have been in the stands after he was signed. Just imagine?
This is the biggest embarrasment this club has had in a long time. A club in a financial strait dishing out 60m, not for a generational talent, not for an impact player, not for plugging apparent holes in the squad and certainly not in the positions the club lacked options, but for an average player who will not be available for half of the season due to injury.
Pure waste of funds,poor leadership/management cheered on by a delusional fan base.
The AC Milan trajectory is imminent.
