Of course he is a better player than Gavi, I am not questioning his quality, but his behaviour.

What behaviour?

The press seem to say his ankle injury was worse than the club first thought and he was one of many that were rushed back by Xavi.. Araujo, Pedri and Fati all falling victim to it.

He was one of our best players during 2022/23, when he played in a double pivot next to Busi. He is a system player, he emerged on the biggest stage at Ajax in a double pivot next to Schöne too.

He would be very good in Flicks system. But if we could sell him and can get good money for him I’d sell and bring in Zubimendi.

He was Barca best midfielder before they changed the formation that season not in a double pivot and was Barcas best player behind Messi in Messis last season playing 3 or 4 different positions.

Double pivot is his best position.. but the one with more freedom..not the one who will sit more.

The start of last season he was class.. but Xavi quickly realised Romeu was a dud and the next best option was FDJ sitting more as he is better than Gundo, Pedri or Gavi there.

Any of them bar Yamal could be sold if it allows for the team to improve. If it was Nico/Zubimendi for FDJ would take that every day for what teams needs.

Yea that's what he is a system player, everything has to be perfect around him for him to excel consistently.

He has no real excuses this season, he's supposedly the double pivot God.

Every player needs a system to excel but FDJ was teams best players behind Messi in Messis last season.. playing 3/4 positions.

The season it was changed to double pivot he was clearly better than Gavi and Barcas best midfielder before Xavi changed it.

It is because he is a better DM than others that he gets played there.. even when not his best position.

Nah he was better than Gavi who was 'pure trash' in a good few of his games before injury.. woefully bad barely 20 passes a game with little shown on ball type games.

Yes and similar could be made by Gavi who is most dribbled past midfielder by far.

Same videos have seen about Rodri this season even from Real fans recently and saw same about Tchouameni.

FDJ is not a DM.. but better there than others hence why got picked.

As usual folk decide it and focus on it.

He has better defensive awareness than Pedri, Gundo and Gavi etc to play the sitter.. why they rarely were.

But none of their best positions.
