Who's better, who's worse is a moot point. Each of them offer different things.
Bet you Bayern doesn't steamroll us in the first 20 or so minutes with Frenkie on the pitch. Similar with Madrid, it's a question of how many press resilient players are there on the pitch (Fermin in and out) but also a matter of just how good Frenkie is in that segment of the game. Probably the best in the squad there. He'll definitely have a prominent role.
As for stealing the starting spot, we'll see. Pedri Fdj sounds the best on paper but there's an issue of chemistry and coordination. Pedri tends to occupy forward spaces and de Jong has that tendency to run with the ball forward. They'll need to coordinate there and also remains to be seen how some of his natural instincts come into play and if needed, can he suppress them . In this form, Pedri's too good of an all-arounder to be dropped, but Frenkie gives us a shit ton of flexibility no matter where he plays.
Good problem to have.
