But anything over 10m is too much for what will basically be a bench/rotation player.

They won't but he and more critically his agent will look at the players in midfield and see the writing on the wall, would he be willing to fight against that wave or just go somewhere he'll be an automatic starter.

There's no way Gavi gets ahead of De Jong this season. Gavi will be lucky if he gets starts considering his time off and that he doesn't really do anything defined unlike the other 5 options.

Gavi takes no Ls since being promoted at Barcelona, especially to De Jong.

By January/February he will be a starter/rotation player.

Our midfield is so stacked, I think that's what everyone will be, with the exception Pedri.

Will be the rotation once Gavi is fully fit, unless the club wants to be super cautious with Gavi.

Ok, I'm not his biggest fan (because imo he's overpaid, is on 25ish and should be on MAX 15) - but he showed a lot of quality yesterday.

The logical argument will be that he comes for Casado. But Casado is doing everything Gavi did but with way more tactical discipline, ball touches and tackling rather than fouls (and he got two fouls against Madrid where he won the ball).

But then if Flick takes a liking to Gavi, maybe he will bring out his best version.

Atleast these are good problems to have though.

What is this obsession with selling him? What if he becomes a monster under flick? He has his uses in controlling tempo of the game

If we re-negotiate him down to 15M I'd like him to stay - if not, we of course sell... easy as that. Next summer he'll have a year left of his contract and than everything will become clear - there is no chance we will pen a deal worth a cent more than 15M.

Casado is cemented in first XI at the moment IMO.

What we will probably see is more of De Jong and Casado together at CMs in the games where we need more midfield control.
