We can use his money do much better.

He is good player but currently he is not even close to being starter.

I would keep him like someone said, but on 10-15 mil salery.

He is just not worth more.

He is paid like Haaland, Vini...

At he plays like Arthur.

I will be angry if the club resigns him he needs to go. Hopefully Flick will pursuade Laporte that he doesn't need him.

Still think Flick can get something out of him. He looked good in the cameo against RM.
I'm sure he can, but 25M a year worth - never ever... and we have to take that into account. Next summer he'll have 1 year left on his contract. We can't offer him even close to what he's on, Frenkie has to get real. Sure his agent can look around, there is no way in hell any other club will offer him a cent above 15M - not even if he walks and be on a free.

I dont think he will fit Flick's DM role. I only see Casado and Gavi there. Casado is a pure DM while Gavi gives you the press and ball wining ability.
I want to see Fdj either beside Casado or Gavi and then asses. We need a player who runs like a dog besides him.

Dude is worth 30-50M in today's market, depending on a couple of factors. He will also not get a crazy wage anywhere.
Like I said, Frenkie and his agent have to sit down and think this through and accept reality. He never reached the heights everybody thought he'd reach - he does a couple of things good, but he'll never be WC or carry a "big" team. Frenkie and his agent have to accept they were lucky af they got 25M from 2019-2025. He is a good player, I don't dislike him and I actually think he can be good in Flicks system - but Casado is better (probably even Gavi) than Frenkie could become (which is crazy in its own right). So now what? We're going to have a 25M player as backup?
Sorry my dude, accept a 10ish million wage and rotation player status or we inform him we're selling him next summer. If big clubs come with decent offers for us and him and he refuses we know he's fucking with us and we fuck him back - how I don't know, but we can't just let him ride that lucrative contract out after we paid 80M for him. We've treated him alright and now its time for a reality check...
The only thing I can think of to help the transfer if he doesn't accept a much lower wage is that we give him some "fuck off" money - from the transfer fee we pay the difference from what he was supposed to earn in Barca. Barto days are over Frenkie

Yeah, as I said before, he has a spot here and a very important one at that. If we plan on going far in the CL KO stages, he'll be needed. That said, the circumstances have certainly changed over the past few months and it's a rather pessimistic perspective for his future. I think that his plan was to keep starting for Barca until his contract runs out and then as a free agent get a comparable contract somewhere else. Pretty feasible too. Rumours he's not even responding to our offers to renew. We certainly wanted him to take a pay cut, just wondering how big. That said, with him now being a luxury rather than necessity, the tables turn. The club should be back in the driver's seat since it's unlikely he gets what he wants out there in 2026.
