Sincere apologies from me. I guess i have to be more diplomatic when describing a "smart" advice to pay someone 25m/pa and then "freeze out" such a player to punish him. i am looking for such a job, bro, in case you have one.
Even financially bouyant clubs do not go down that lane talk more of an insolvent club like Barca

Feeezing a player out and paying him 25m to force him out is not even an 'answer'.....its a foolish thought.

If there was ever a time for Frenkie to shine besides when he had Koeman. It is now. German football and Dutch football aren't too dissimilar. I think Flick can utilize him better than Xavi just from the aspect of how the system hides his flaws.
Frenkie is not a wonderful defensive 6. Ok no problem because with this super high line playing offside they act almost as CDMs in the way they play with the ball. Without the ball it's simple they catch them offside or they intercept, or Pena collects the over hit passes. This makes Frenkie/Casado/Bernal/Pedri's job easy. They really just focus upon interception instead of tracking. (Frenkie isn't good at tracking) What Frenkie is great at for the most part is retention and ball carrying. He keeps things calm with his technique. Utilize those aspects and boom he looks like a world beater.
Also I love Gavi and I feel like him next to Frenkie would be amazing. Nobody needs to agree but I think as an alternate midfield it can be very effective.

Man United made a tremendous effort in 2022 to persuade Frenkie de Jong to join them by compiling a series of videos featuring their club legends urging Frenkie to do so. Frenkie didn't even watch the video, and never responded to it. [

Not coincidence at all. Put Lewa there too but there's his age. Ter Stegen too looks unmotivated.
Ferran does work off the ball to be fair.

Luxury player on luxury wage. Again, and I know I bloody repeat myself - sure he can stay, on 10-15M a year ffs... not 25 like now. For 25 I expect him carrying us, scoring and assisting in like every match. If he accepts 10-15 renewal ok, otherwise we should do everything we can to offload him and get 40-50M - than we can sign a defensive midfielder, or just hope Bernal turns out good after his injury and we don't need anybody.
