Cash in on him and buy a proper RB.

Sign Ndicka for depth.

Poor on ball and 3rd choice CB.

Too big a cost on books for what he provides.

Sadly it's hard to believe they would sell him.

Of course they wont. They are not as ruthless as that and identification of players required is not their strong point.

The best they had in club at that was Planes and they marginilised him to point he left and let Xavi run riot with 200m+ of players that could have been much better spent for what team needed and future.

They are lucky they have many of the players they were left.

Why would we sell one of the most soth after defender in Europe last season & the best young defender in la Liga for God knows how long before he came to us?.

What are we dumb?, People who are the club are that foolish thankfully.

Adaption period must be taken into account. It would be like signing Lewandowski for striker then playing him out of necessity at left wing, or Christensen then putting him at left back.

Then having them revert to their natural position for a few games here and there and lambasting them for underperforming.

Not the time to decide to sell Kounde imo as clearly a player in there who can display a much higher level. Now, after another season, if he wasn't won the CB position or is still kind of there as a RB, then yeah, sell.

He hasn't been absolutely awful to decimate his market value, but this is Barca trying to sell so you never know.

Haha 'most sought after defender' is irrelevant and barelye means anything.

Chelsea and Barca wanted him.. two teams that wast money.

Nice.

Poor RB and 3rd choice CB. Too much cost on books when other positions needed.

Adaption to what?

A CB?

How is that going to pan out this next season? Chose to have a third choice CB who will drop in value then try to sell him the following summer?

Or try to improve areas of team that need it now...

All the signings Xavi made bar Christensen should be on the chopping block this summer if want to improve areas of squad that need it.

Adaption to being RB for us.

Adaption to being RB for us.

That is even worse.

He will never be a 60m RB. Not good enough on ball and Barca need more of a threat going forward than he can provide.

The risk then is his value just falls further and another season without a proper RB.

I liked him and thought he is worth the 60M. Disappointing performances as of late, but I think he can turn it around. Just stop playing him at RB and make him a starter at CB.

He was excellent against Madrid in the league at CB, that was what 2/3 games ago?.

He'll be fine, literally last player I'm worried about of the players we paid money for last season.

If xavi wants a Defensive RB and think that's him, he'll learn to play the position even better next season, but we will need another option off the bench, if we sign a starting RB, he'll be rotating with Araujo & Christensen next season, they will all play about the same number of games, with Kounde filling in at RB when we want a more defensively solid backline.

Pep is playing 4 CB across the back these days, maybe xavi knows what he's doing with a more defensive RB if that's where he's play long term. IF.

He was decent v Madrid away as a CB in a park the bus team... Something Barca should not be aspiring to.

Was absoilutely woeful in last game v Real at home when beaten 4-0. When asked to pass ball or position himself higher up park looked clueless and ended up on his arse more often than not.

Only FDJ looked world class in that 1-0 win away in Benabeu. Kounde was decent in clearing ball from box. The rest like Gavi, Raphinha etc were fucking atrocious as they were in home leg. But.. I digress.

Pep has John stones at RB in his formation. One players of best CBs in the world on the ball and he has players that can carry ball on front of him and attackers that can provide options.

Very different to Kounde who looks worse on ball than Oleguer at RB and has likes of Raphinha on front of him that is never a touchline player in his life.
