He wants to play CB and was signed to play CB. So if that's his transfer request then it shouldn't effect our transfer valuation too much.

Guys like Pavard had also requested the same only to stay at Bayern and play RB.

So yeah, Kounde will play CB if he is the best option. And then if he isn't, then he has the choice to be a sub or play at RB. Should be simple really.

Probably stays another season unless we get a comfortable offer to use on someone like Cancelo. But then I don't know how a swap would effect the books.

I like him but I would not be gutted if he was sold. He hasn’t had a 10/10 season, even when he was played as a CB. Plus, he’s clearly at least #3 in the central defense rotation before Inigo’s arrival so rotational when you can get 80M? He came in to play CB, despite when some way "it was obvious he would play RB", no one thought Christensen would be as good as he's turnt out for us.

But that being said, the situation is what the situation is, Christensen has been class, so if we get a RB this summer, which will most likely be the case, he will simply have to show us and the most importantly the coach he should be a starter at CB.

He has to be more focused there though, because at times he's a bit lackadaisical, but games like against Madrid where he played CB and had a great game and all his time at Sevilla shows us he can be class in that position.

Up to him to show it next season or he'll continue to play RB, but I doubt he's leaving this summer.
