Was great today. Been pretty good now with a consistent run of games at CB.

Some fans are too obsessed with selling young players that cost a significant transfer fee. Was similar case with De Jong. Claims of how it was better to sell and get the money to reinvest in getting a cheaper, better value player. Problem is that those cheaper players don't have a lot of potential to grow like Kounde and FDJ.

The talent is clear from his Sevilla days one of the best young defenders in the world, to think we have two of them is great and Christensen has been a wonder surprise.

Thing with a lot of our signings is that we need them to be world class the moment they start their first game. It's an unrealistic expectation of a player even if they've moved from the same league. Not saying Kounde from now on will be the level we need him to be but maybe that's all it is with him.

Thought he was ropey in that first half then Betis barely got passed midfield in second.

But overall has been better than last season and he fits the formation well if Cancelo goes into midfield.

Nah he was worse than both Araujo and Christensen when played CB last season and was bang average at RB. can see why he didnt fancy it.

As of yet there has not been a competition really as Araujo moved to RB then injured and Christensen been carrying injury also.

Think in big games could still see Araujo RB and Cancelo RW at times and rotation from there v the 'poorer' sides.

Let's revisit that when all our 3 main CBs are fit. But from talk and performances this season alone it's pretty damn obvious Kounde is a starter and first choice.
