Renew until 2030 wouldn't be bad, I suspect his wages will be an issue, given how much Bayern paid Davis.

Was always going to be at RB.

No club is offering 100m for Kounde and Barca would snap their arm off if ever tried.

Been better this season. Still erratic and world class to awful on the ball from one game to the next and ropey enough defending on the dribble.

Clubs do rate the players that can play CB/FB though.

Terrible play on the ball? That's bullshit. He's good on the ball, but sometimes he has 1-2 episodes where he really acts clumsy on the ball.

I don't think he should be extended at a higher salary, but at his previous salary he can be kept.

Either way he is a valuable asset that is in demand. I'm sure a large number of clubs in the market will be willing to pay like 75+ million euros for him.

But okay, let's say Barcelona sold him, who can we buy for the right-back position here and now? What are your options? Frimpong - he's not a right back in a 4-3-3 system and he's bad defensively, Trent is terrible defensively, Hakimi is more balanced in his qualities but he's a Real Madrid pupil and recently renewed his contract.

Name a player who is ready here and now to take up a position on the right flank of Barcelona's defense.

Let's not listen to someone who was telling us at every opportunity that kounde and raph were bad signings.

But Lord Torres was a good signing at 65m euros and better than Diaz.

Doesn't seem like the guy to milk club dry for money. His salary already high and he's doing what he's paid to do: being a solid and mostly reliable player in defence.

Compare that to Raphinha who deserves a bump for his huge boost in performance.

More likely these are the stories that come up when players look to renew.

Personally would not raise his salary but say to him want to extend and if he wants to test market for more money he can.

Yeah not seen enough of him to comment any more. Looks decent on ball and aggressive but again not seen enough.

That type of solid RB.. if thats what he would be would only be worth it if it significantly improved other areas of team.. CF/LW etc.

But 100m and Kounde goes and you work it out after.

Even 80m he goes probably particularly if he is asking for salary increase.

Other than that renew him on same salary and take the FFP space it allows.

If Barca win big this season I'm seeing Kounde as one of the players who will have troubles maintaining motivation.
