fatigue can cause not having a good touch with the ball in general?

Really?
Of course.

When you are tired either through being exhausted through playing or not sleeping it affects everything - reaction time, touch. It affects your alertness.

Obviously a much lower level, but when I play I notice my touch can be slightly off (and my reaction time) if I haven't had much sleep the night before. If I have slept I do well.

Obviously players are sleeping well generally, but if it gets to the 80th minute you are more likely to struggle with fatigue and reaction time than if it is early in the game and you are fresher. Subs aren't just made for physical tiredness, but mental tiredness too.

Messi or Lamine or tons of other footballers will never make a bad touch with the ball no matter how tired they are...
Not true at all, in my opinion. It's more likely their touch will still be good when tired, because they have more technique in general, but even Messi can make more mistakes if he hasn't slept for a while or if he is tired during a game. We don't see it often because of his natural talent, but it can happen.

Players aren't robots who take perfect touches and are always at the max of their attributes as if we are playing FIFA. They're human. They make mistakes when not fresh, or when under mental stress, fatigue or pressure.

Totally disagree...

Reaction time, alertness, decision-making all that can get affected

But touch with the ball is one of the few things that is learned at a very young age, and can't be trained/improved later on, no matter how much someone tries

You will never see Messi, Lamine, Neymar, Ronaldinho earlier, etc. to make a bad touch with the ball no matter how many hours they have slept. That's ingrained since very early.
either you have it or you don't

You probably don't understand what this conversation is about. Yes, tired Messi will still have better touch than tired Fellainy. He will still be immensely more innefecive in every single skill than fresh Messi. When you literally can't take a breath, you will fail to put a tea cup on the table without spilling it, let alone have a great first touch after difficult pass or dribble past several players and make strong shot.

See what gnidri said and how I put it earlier.
You're confused because the best technical players touch suffer less than less technical players when tired. But compared to their fresh selves there is a difference.

Does your productivity at work not suffer when tired?

This conversation is so ridiculous

With every post about this you are just showing that you didn't touch a ball in your life. I have nothing against you but you are embarassing yourself with this debate. Everyone who at least once played amateur football while tired knows exactly what we are talking about. This are not opinions, it's facts.

It won't help
