If there is money to spend there are more pressing needs than another CB.

Full backs...weakest area by far and having a good pair of them can help team play in way that suits the players better than Xavis tactics at end of season.

On Christensen.. wouldnt be surprised if he is Barcas best CB next season.

Alba and Dest are serviceable. Dest has issues with staying fit but if he gets a run of games, he's not bad. OK, so we don't have world-class fullbacks, but the most pressing issue for me is the attack, most notably right winger position which is pure shit. We're gonna lose both no1 option for that spot, and no2.

Right now, without Dembele (not his fan, but still), Adama, and Luuk De Jong, we are exposed big time. At least 2 new players are needed, and I'm not talking about filler types.

Dest hasnt been good enough or close he is clueless in final third, build up and not great defensively. Young enough to improve but Barca not got time to wait for that.

Good chance he stays though doesnt seem other clubs rate him either.

Alba cant get up and down pitch the way used to and too erratic on ball. Dont think he is a top FB that can do basics enough.

Torres is far better RW than Dest is a RB but Xavi needs to play to attackers strengths and not have them on the touchline asking to drive at multiple defenders.

Don't like Torres at RW at all. In fact, him and Ansu are quite problematic as a pair. Both can't beat a man consistently and aren't really fast or strong. I want a different profile. I'd rather use one of Ansu or Torres as a false 9 and rotate Aubameyang who I'm not a big fan of either.

Truth. Torres and Fati won't work.

Torres can play wide if Xavi sets up team in way that suits them and has a full backs with quality taking the width.

Dest doesnt have that.

Likes of Raphinha would never suit being isolated RW out wide either. None of them suit it.

I don?t see him signing with Christensen joining and Pique still hanging around for another season.

Would be a top signing though.

I?d like Barca to get a full back like Kieran Tierney. Shame he?s got injury issues but that lad can play.

Would be an even better deal if Sevilla take back Lenglet as part of the deal. Lenglet an still be good in the right system.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Villarreal are chasing Albacete defender Enzo Boyomo.

The young Frenchman was key in Albacete's promotion from the Primera RFEF to the Segunda Division his past season.

Cazurreando.com says Barca, Real and Villarreal are all interested in the 20 year-old.

Boyomo has a deal with Albacete to 2024. He was with Toulouse before making the leap at the age of 16, in 2016, to the Blackburn Rovers Academy.

In August 2020 he arrived at Albacete, first to play for the reserve team, Atl?tico Albacete, but very soon he earned a place in the first team, where he has been a regular since the 2020/21 season.

Hopefully we get him. We need someone proven but with hunger in him and leadership at CB. Araujo is kind of suspect in some instances and he still needs to learn.

Sevilla value Kounde at 65M, so 40M plus Lenglet? :p Money wise, that way Kounde would actually cost us about the same than Koulibaly, which is the only way I would consider preferring Kounde over Koulibaly.

I actually don't see much leadership in Kounde...that's why I actually prefer Koulibaly. Yes, there's the age thing, but honestly I'm looking for a more immediate world class injection...and Koulibaly is currently in my opinion better than Kounde. Age isn't a problem, 30 years old, for a CB especially, is nothing, he could easily give us 3-5 world class years. And it's about the personality as well, I can't help but take Lenglet as a warning caution when it comes to Sevilla French CBs. While Koulibaly is a brick wall, a leader and a defensive powerhouse. Exactly what our soft defense needs. While I could see Kounde easily fold. Short term in this case could be the way to go, especially if we plan on slowly integrating Mika Marmol into the first team in the next few years, he could be a great back up to Koulibaly and eventually take over from him.

Yeah, Koulibal over Kounde. He just seems to have a better mentality. Kounde always seems to be tottering on the edge mentality wise. If Koulibal can give us three really solid years we'll be good. We also have Christensen and Araujo who are young.

Never understood people that actually make these half serious arguments and valuations including players in deals to offset an amount of money.
1) why do you think these barely ever happen?
2) do Seville look like being ran by some absolute mug to be accepting a worse player than the one they sold for same price?
3) why would they take on his contract considering he will not take a cut on it knowing he's unlikely to ever get a better one?

And these suggestions are made so often with so many big clubs. Lots of delusional fans
