Fuck you pep. That's all. He turned into ordinary money grabbing soulless douche since 2012.

its more like fuck bartomeu. the cunts who running masia into the dirt. even puyol his agent recommended he leave masia's shit show. do we say fuck puyol?
Even barca B are now looking to buy their way to success now, fucking hell. this board did way more harm than good. not saying things was always cheesy in masia but this board and lucho did way more bad.

Puyol reportedly recommended him to leave for sporting and financial reasons.

It doesn't make sense to go to City at any cost right? If he is not going to make it here he will not make it there also. Especially considering Pep is obsessed with buying every half decent young player.

Looks like he'll sign a 3-year contract/Gerard Romero saying 4-year, earning 1m each season, and training with City's 1st team from his 2nd season.

Barca offered him a Juvenil B contract.

He'll be back within 5-6 years, guaranteed.

It's a ridiculous career decision tbh.

If he wants to leave, he should go to a club where he actually stands a chance of succeeding. City are going to spend $100-200 million on players every summer trying to buy all the best players available.

Young players there stand very little chance.

Correct, but basically that's what Barça is doing lately also.

Just look at Barça B, which is full of brought in players, while the homegrown don't get a chance. As long as we don't change this, we can't blame anyone leaving.

One million a year!!, For a 16 year old!.
No wonder he's leaving, And good riddance, If we tried to match these absurd offers for every little schmuck with some potential then we'll go bankrupt in a few years.
And you can't but laugh at those who blame the board for the greedy decision of those youngsters they worship, Pathetic.

There has not been one young player not given a chance in the B team in past few seasons that should have.

Even under Lucho Sandro, Munir, Denis and Rafinha have been taken into first team squad for first time as opposed to how many at City?

It is an excuse and is all about the money.

Grimaldo can be a legitimate player to point to that should have been given more chances but that was on the manager at the time and not something to worry about going forward.

We haven't been great at it but in recent years we have given chances to guys like Roberto, Bartra, Tello, Rafinha, Deulofeu, Munir, Sandro, Denis and last season Alena and Marlon (not sure if he counts). The only successful one has been Roberto so far, but that's to be expected as more will fail than succeed.

This Garcia kid is favored by Pep, but Pep is likely going to be gone in 2-3 years. And in the 2-3 years that Pep is there how many more big name CBs will City buy? Quite a few it would be fair to assume given their spending habits.

Honestly I cannot think of a worse club for a talented youngster to go to.

€1m for three seasons (or four, don't know right now).

So 250k every season?

That's nothing then.

Depends on what Txiki and Soriano does after Pep eventually leaves in three years. If they sign someone like Oscar Garcia to continue his work, then I think Eric can expect making it to the 1st team.

It's a pity. Best CB talent in many years and he's left.

Would hardly be shocking if he makes it there and we try to sign him back in 5-6 years.

Realistically speaking his chances of making it here aren't any higher or lower than his chances at City. If he was good enough he'd play for the B team, don't be absurd. He went to City because they're offering him a faster track to the first team and are giving him more money, it's really a no brainer if you're the player. There's nothing to be done about a player not having loyalty to us. He isn't the first and he won't be the last.

Besides... he'll almost 100% be back. The question is when and how hard it will be.

is my reaction to the Garcia news, if he thinks he can get a better financial deal at City and has a better chance at the first team over there then good luck I guess. It's hilarious seeing the meltdowns on Barca twitter claiming him leaving is the end of the fucking world.

Very talented CB no doubt but some folks acting like he's the Holy Grail and we are going to finish mid table for losing him on Barca twitter.

Yeah, it's as if he's our B team's brightest prospect and Valverde himself tried convincing him to stay or something. In reality he's just some teenager who only signed for 4 years anyways. If he doesn't renew with City he could easily be back here at 19-20 and if he has any desire of playing here one day and is truly the class defender everyone says he is I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to.
