the biggest price we paid for this guy is screwing up a room to bartra or some cantera player to developp
He has played 1 match or something. I doubt Bartra would develop so much more if he had played in that match instead of Vermaelen.

Mats might be on his way out becouse we also signed Bravo.
The Neymar deal we dont even have to discuss how bad it was made.
Pique is a LaMasia product, doesnt really count.
Douglas, Vermaelen, Mathieu, Song, Ibrahimovich.

In recent years we make really good signings once in a while, but the quantity of good signings increased very much 14/15. Before that we made many bad ones.
Alves, Pique (of course he should count), Villa, Mascherano were all really great signings.
Later on Sanchez, Alba and Neymar should also count as very good transfer-policy.
14/15 proved to be exceptionally good in terms of getting some "spot-on" players (Suarez, Rakitic, Bravo, Ter Stegen).
But the bad signings makes up a decent amount as well (Zlatan, Chygrynkiy, Keirrison, Song, Vermaelen, Douglas).
I think it affects the impression that we nearly always sell our players for less than they are worth, and also occasionally fuck-ups like letting Thiago go adds to the "we can't manage transfers properly".
Right now our problem is that we don't have many good young prospects in vital positions, which puts an early end-date on this fantastic Barca-team, if we continue only to buy older players.

Because we had problems with Neymar's transfer doesn't mean he's not a great player for us.
Why wouldn't Pique count? If we wouldn't buy him he wouldn't be here. Same for Alba or even Vidal.
I get it, you are just negative. But still don't know why you mentioned Mathieu in the group with Douglas or Vermaelen. He's been way more useful than other players you mentioned.
No club in the world is immune from mistakes in transfer market. Yes, we also made some with Ibra and Chygrinsky being on top of the list for me over the last 8 years. We should thank Pep's stubbornness for both. But at the same time we buy some great players I mentioned before and also avoid transfers that would turn out to be even worse than Ibra, like paying 60M for David Luiz. I don't really care that much about paying 5M for Douglas or 12M for Vermaelen, those are not transfers that would kill our club. Paying 60M for a player that would be most likely a bust, that's another story.
Yes, we are probably not great at transfers (BTW, name me one club that is great in your opinion in that regard) but we also don't totally suck, at least in incoming transfers.

His performance there wasn't very good. I say it again, if fit he could be a valuable contributor/squad player for Barcelona, shame he doesn't seem to be able to stay fit.
