Arsenal centre back Thomas Vermaelen (28) arrived this morning in Barcelona. Medical tests later today, announcement in a few hours. [md]
Interesting that Vermaelen's medical takes place before the official announcement, that never happens at Barca (usually it's done the other way around). I guess they also have some serious concerns about his injury-record.
Errrr wrong, why would a club sign a player before they know how fit he is? Maybe he´s carrying an injury nobody knew about, maybe he´s got some health condition... always medical check first, then signing, then further tests about his fitness status.
Yeah that's what I meant.but they announce it always earlier on their homepage.. befor the medical but the contractsigning is after

But there hasn't been such an initial announcement yet, and that's the "strange" thing. The initial announcement is only meant to state that there is principal agreement in place, and that the player will sign his contract pending medical. The player officially becomes part of the squad roster only when he puts pen to paper, and that happens only after he's medically cleared. The procedure is same for all the players. And there are two announcements corresponding each event from the concerned club.

I hope our medical staff put him through an intense session.
hope they don't , the possible CB's we want are getting worse and worse.Yea, me too, if he's not 100% healthy, we should cancel the deal.
