So Dr.Orava talked to Rac1 and told them if Vermaelen is going to have the surgery he'll be able to play football in 3 months (in the end of march probably) .

His problem will prob be healed in 3 months, but he has barely played for a while now so I don't think we'll see him this season and he'll have to take time to build up fitness and all that too.

Not to forget it's better to put him in a cotton wool for another couple of months to avoid him getting injured again.....

In hindsight why didnt we send him for the surgery when he first relapsed with the injury and he would have been better prob around janurary time

Shouldn't have signed him at all. The medical team adviced Zubi and co to not sign him, but they overruled them and went ahead with it anyway.

I no that but sometimes the medical team aint always right look at demba ba even when newcastle signed him as an example but if they had sent vermy for his surgery then he could be fixed by now

I don't remember Demba Ba's case, but I think it was only a dodgy knee which he had problems with, but still played quite a lot? Vermaelen has been injured a helluva lot the last seasons and was injured when we signed him. Different case.

The extra 10mil we paid for Verm could have went to Thiago Silva's salary if Zubi wasn't a dumbass...

Love Bartra but I don't trust him and Pique to take us to a CL final. Mathieu is decent. And Masch isn't a real CB and we'll inevitable need him in midfield esp since Busi is reportedly semi-injuried.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
With these transfer dealings, we'll need more than luck to reach the CL final the next two seasons, to be fair. Winning the league is more realistic. Hopefully we can compete for the CL again when we get a new board and a competent sporting director.

Call me crazy but I kinda get the feeling we'll be the dark horse in the CL, everyone is ruling us out but a team of Messi-Suarez-neymar has to say something about Im assuming.

dont see your point. Let me get this clear, we've been looking for the golden unicorn of a defender for three + years, then we ended up buying a player who not only he's a crock, when he wasn't injured could'nt get a game at arsenal, was on his last year of contract and we still fucking paid 17 million. if someone told me zubi paid 500k and pocketed the rest i would understand, but he fucking paid it.

5 months out is the same as the whole season out. He will be able to play in May which is the last month in which barca has games and Im sure that Lucho wont give a player that didnt play for almost 1 year playing time in the most important month (if we are still competing , which I hope). So much for dat barca profile.
