Not really. If he doesn't play next season, it will be bad signing, but still not disaster. His price tag was just 10mil euros (no, not 20 mil, that was just with bonuses, he won't be able to fulfil, because of his injury), so even if he remains just a bench player 10 mil is good price.

No, it's not. It's wasted time and resources. Money and time which could've been used for a player who is not broken already(the medical staff strongly advised the club against signing him).

As our final signing, and one intended to finally solve the massive defensive issues we've been having, we signed a player for 10mil euros, knowing full well that we wouldn't be able to make transfers for the next two years, and that player was not only injured at the time of his signing, but has yet to play a game by February and is not likely to make his debut at all this season. Not only this, but the medical team STRONGLY RECOMMENDED we do not sign him, but we did anyways, because we have (had) the best sporting director to ever draw breath. We purchased three defenders, but only one is competent enough to step on the field with us and uninjured enough to do so.
Douglas was a bad signing. Halilovic was a bad signing. Mathieu was a bad signing. These players simply aren't good enough.
Vermaelen was a fucking disaster signing.

Don't care about that.
The salary is just too high. And the insurance company only pay a part of the wages, not entirely.
If what Flavia said is true, then Vermaelen earns more than what Di Maria was earning at Madrid.

I think you were a little unlucky in your thought process there my friend, because this was probably the stupidest post I've seen on this forum this year.
What makes me laugh until i cry is the fact that if zubi waited a couple months he wouldve been a free agent.
